Looking at it another way, each year the average person that works for the someone else puts in an extra six 40 hour weeks (without pay) just going to and getting home from work.

That extra time without pay, reduces your hourly rate significantly. If you are making $30/hour, your effective hourly rate is only $26.67 if you work a 8 hour day.

Escaping the rat race and becoming self employed has never been more enticing, easier or more fulfilling than it is today.

With the improvements in technology and more focus on personal freedom, becoming self employed will continue to be a driving force in the world economy.
